American presidents are limited to run for two terms in office. A large number of presidential candidates compete for nominations in republican and democratic nominations. The United States of America and five other nation agreed to an outline for Iranian nuclear deal in April 2015 where President Obama concentrated on convincing the Congress and the American citizens that this deal was to make the world especially America, and its allies a safer place. The nuclear deal was implemented in January 2016 after it was confirmed that Iran was in compliance with the provision of joint comprehensive plan action by international atomic energy agency (IAEA).
President back Obama has tried to assure those who mistrust the Iranian administration that Iran will not make nuclear weapons as during his tenure even though his term is almost drawing to a close. The next president must make sure that Iran abides by the agreement and will have to enforce the sanctions as stated in the accord if Iran breaks the deal. How the next president will deal with Iran, has led to different responses from various presidential aspirants. Below are some of the replies from some of the presidential campaigners;
Ted Cruz argument on the Iranian nuclear deal
Cruz has been a Texas Senator since 2013 after defeating a fellow Republican candidate. Cruz has successfully argued and debated several cases before the American Supreme Court. Cruz policies are as follows;
During an American Israel public affairs meeting held at March 2016, Cruz said that he will stand against the Iran nuclear as he launched strict criticism of the deal. Cruz gave warnings to Iran to either to stop the nuclear program or face the threat of coercive force. During Values Voter Summit in September 2015, he said that the United States of America should terminate Iran Ayatollah if Iran proceeds with the acquisition of a nuclear weapon. The aspirant further noted that if he is voted as the next president, Iran will not be allowed to acquire weapons under any conditions.
In September 2015, he published an op-ed USA today which aimed at protesting against the Iranian nuclear program. He claimed that Obama administration was supporting terrorism activities in Islamic nations, and had abandoned several American who were held as a hostage in Iran while facilitating the acquisition of Iran’s Nuclear weapons. American Thinker interviewed Cruz in September 2015 where he stated that he was against the Iranian weapon deal. He expressed his disappointment with the Republican administration in failing to take actions and measures he had proposed to stop the nuclear program by Iran. He said he had written a letter to majority leader Mitch and House Speaker John where he claimed that this Iranian deal was not submitted to Congress as the congressional review act requires and demands. This makes it unlawful for imposing sanctions against the Iranian bodies by the administration.
Cruz wanted the congressional leaders to state abundantly that those banks which were in possession of the frozen assets that involved funds, that federal law does not prevent them from the requirements to follow obligatory federal statutes. He claimed that those banks should be held responsible for financing of Iran despite the administration decrees that Iran was acting contrary to federal statutes. He argued that the Congress should fund the entire federal government as he claimed that these funds should not support the Iranian nuclear deal.
Cruz uses this as one of his major themes in his presidential campaign. The candidate is determined to use all the instruments available to Congress to stop all the dangerous activities initiated by Obama. He claims that nothing is important in the next presidential election in American than the fight against the Iranian nuclear weapon deal. Cruz asserts that the Iranian nuclear deal is worth the struggle until all matters are effectively determined. He claims that if Hillary Clinton becomes the next America president, it will lead to the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Iran that may be used against Israel and the USA.
Cruz states that the current Palestinian unrest wave is as a result of Iran renewed energy, bolstered finances, and increased political capital. He claims that Obama administration is a contributing factor because of ethical equivalence between Israel’s response and terrorist activities while indicating that state Secretary John Kerry should resign over his remarks about Israel as John accused Israel of terrorism. Furthermore, the aspirant indicates that there is a qualitative distinction between antics of Palestinian terrorists who kill innocent children and women as a result of persistent encouragement from human beings. He says that there a difference between supporting terrorism and IDF defending the safety of the Israel nation, finalizing that Kerry claims and arguments are harmful, wrong and offensive.
Cruz states that the United States should not determine the terms of peace negotiation in Israel as shown in Jerusalem post interviews. Cruz is also against the support of Palestinian administration by the United States of America financially because there was unity between Hamas government and Palestinian administration. There are claims that there is no development in stability peace agreements with Palestinian government and management because it does not want to sign a sensible treaty since they are protected from the effects of inflexibility. Furthermore he claims that United States policy dictation terms to Israel creates an opportunity for the Palestinian administration to exploit American preconceptions. He said that the lavish foreign aid makes the Palestinian government maintains a low profile whereas its policies are negatively affecting its citizen.
Cruz further notes that he will not entertain such ethical equivalence if he is elected as the American president. The aspirant will terminate the Iranian nuclear deal and begin the process of transferring the American embassy to Jerusalem in Israel immediately he rises to power. He believes that one of the most important issues in the current presidential elections is the restoration of American leadership in the global map through standing and supporting their friends and allies and fighting off their enemies.
Hillary Clinton arguments on Iran nuclear deal
Clinton offers most robust commendation about the negotiated Iranian nuclear deal between the six world powers and Iran under the Obama administration. Clinton supports the Iranian nuclear deal agreement, as she elaborates on her position and emphasizes the continual Iranian regime skepticism.
Clinton argues that the United States faces a choice to either turn down the most dangerous routes resulting to a risky future or carrying on into a diplomatic path. She claims that the deal does not and forbids Iran from making a nuclear bomb, and it is impossible and unrealistic to get an alternative deal that is any better as her opponents claim. Although she maintains her distrust on the Iranian administration. She argues that she is too deeply concerned with Iranian hostility and the desire to oppose it. The aspirant elucidates that there is no absolute reason to trust Iranian government and claimed that her attitude to deal with Iranian nuclear deal could be a form of mistrust.
Her contempt for Iranian administration was proved when she discharged the Islamic Republican cooperation with the United States about the nuclear deal. Clinton indicated that she does not see Iran as being their partner with the United States in the implementation of the agreement, but views it as a subject in the contract application. Clinton further makes it clear on her willingness to start military strikes against Iranian government if Iran tries to contravene its treaty agreement and instead commences on plans to build a nuclear weapon.
Israel issues about the Iranian government on the nuclear deal are assuaged by her as she claims that this agreement makes Israel a safer nation and promises Israel of her support as the president of the United Nations if elected. Clinton further introduces a five-point plan concentrated on creating regional associations which are to be used to counter the Iranian bad behavior in the Middle East. She says this will involve continued military deployment to assist Israel as a United States Gulf ally together with initiating strategies to stop the expanding Iranian influence in the Middle East region in particular with proxy groups like Hezbollah. Clinton asserts that when she rises to power, emphasis will be placed on the demand to stop misuse and right abuse by Iranian administration and the widening of sanctions on the regime.
Even though most of the presidential campaigners are against the Iranian nuclear deal, sufficient backing from Democrats exists which stops this deal from being destroyed. The terms of the deal require that the Iranian administration should remove 98% of their uranium deposit together with their uranium enriching separators. This process which also includes Iranian compliance verification by the global atomic energy agency that is expected to take approximately more than six months. There will be lifting of an array of sanctions in exchange for Iran’s cessation of nuclear activities.
She also argues that there will be an emergency global gathering on the ongoing increase in the refugee crisis in Syria where the United Nations will be committed from countries modeled on efforts after Haiti earthquake. For such a conference to take place, the United Nations must be involved to motivate all countries to either accommodate refugees or to provide financial support for resettlement of refugees.
Bernie Sanders argument on Iranian nuclear deal
Bernie Sanders claims that he supports the comprehensive joint strategy of action on the deal that was agreed by the United States and China, Russia, France, United Kingdom, Iran, and Germany. He says that he supports the treaty, and he opposes the Republican resolution of their disapproval. Bernie is of the belief that this approach is the best method to move forward if the United States accomplishes what it wants to achieve. He claims that making sure that there is no nuclear weapon made in Iran following the Iranian nuclear deal. If Iran possesses a nuclear weapon, this may destabilize the whole region leading to a nuclear arms race in the area which would endanger the survival of Israel. Bernie argues that the test of a great nation which is empowered with the most powerful military worldwide is not how many wars it has fought, but on the methods to international conflicts using their strength and capabilities.
He accuses those who are against the Iranian nuclear deal claiming that such people who do not want continued diplomatic relations between the United States and Iran and they speak out forcefully and irresponsibly about their desire for a conflict with Iran. He says that this would be one of the worst policy mistakes of the present history in the United States. Condemnation of former vice president Dick Cheney, who pushed America to enter into war with Iraq claiming that he was wrong. The results of such a war destabilizes such an entire region due to disastrous policies. War if need be, must be the last resort, not the first resort.
Bernie expressed his support for the Iranian nuclear deal, and gave an opinion that his Republican contestants were hawkish during a floor of Senate conference. The United Nations agreement is supported by Sanders as it provides an opportunity for growth. The final Iranian nuclear program is seen as a success of diplomacy over the saber-rattling. He went on pressing those who participated in the deal as he congratulated them including President Barack Obama, Secretary John Kerry and other officials of other countries and states. This was because they were able to come with a comprehensive treaty that prevented Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
Sanders claims that more work needs to be done to prevent Iran from making a nuclear weapon. It is imperative for Iran not to have a nuclear weapon, and it was good for the United States to come up with strategies that will bring diplomatic solutions which will terminate the war in the Middle East. Sanders promised that if voted in as the president of America, he will come up with ways to end this issues. After examination of the Iranian nuclear deal, he earmarks increases in its efficiency and security.
Sanders argued that nations have to pursue diplomatic solutions to problems affecting them before resorting to military operations. Sanders said that ‘I applaud the President trying to reach out an agreement with the P5+1 in Iran, to try to figure out how we can prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, which to me is an absolute imperative, but you do it in a way that doesn’t go to war.’
Donald Trump argument on Iranian nuclear deal
The Republican presidential aspirant Donald Trump insists that he would try to revert what he calls disastrous Iranian nuclear agreement. In his opinion he will punish Iran if it violates the terms and condition of the agreement. This makes him differ from some of 2016 presidential rivals who have promised to break the deal immediately. He criticized the Iran nuclear deal through the USA today article on September 2015. He condemned US President back Obama claiming that he was incompetent.
Trump suggested that the Iranian nuclear deal could destroy Israel. The leading Republican aspirant argued that the deal was too big to be complete and that Iranian were great diplomats where the Obama government limited Iranian negotiations. Trump is in favor of increase in sanctions against the Iranian administration of the treaty is not adhered to.
In 2011, Trump stated that America major aim was to destroy Iranian nuclear weapons goals. He said that Iran nuclear plans must be stopped since they may use it or hand them over to terrorists.
John Kasich argument on Iranian nuclear deal
John Kasich is not in support of the nuclear deal as he claims that the Iranian government will break up the deal and use it to commit mass terror attacks as it strengthens its economy further. Kasich said that if elected as the presented, he will automatically finish the deal instead of waiting for Iran to use it for other dangerous reasons. The aspirant has advocated for increased Iranian penalties as he argued that if the Iran economy is crushed, they will have to change their behavior.
Additionally, he tells his crown that the Iranian nuclear deal is a bad agreement as he claims that this deal has so many parts which need to be corrected. Kasich told NBC News that after he is voted as the president, he will first examine the deal to see what Iran has violated. Kasich indicates that he will use experts to analyze Iran’s action with the nuclear plant as he claims he will not presume that Iran is abiding by the agreement. Kasich argued that the current agreement could terminate the resources sent to Hamas and Hezbollah. The aspirant further said that if Iran starts to send resources to these two groups it will not be tolerated and accepted, and measures will be taken against Iran.
Rick Santorum
Santorum said that world war three has already started, and it must be stopped. Additionally, he claimed that the Iranian major goal is to make a nuclear weapon. The aspirant claims that Iran wants to disable the electromagnetic pulse grid in the United States using a nuclear weapon. Rick Santorum states that Iran plans are known, and nothing is being done. This weapon can be used to destroy civilization in the United States. Accusations are levelled against Obama for the violation of the terms and conditions of the corker-Cardin treaty. Rick Santorum states that Obama has made this treaty moot by not submitting his Iran deal and most of requirements to the Congress. Santorum indicates an immediate call for a vote on Iranian deal rectification, carrying it as an agreement as in the constitution. Santorum is quoted as saying that ‘This is the greatest betrayal of American national security in our history.’
Rick indicated that he will use military power against Iran if the country attempts to make nuclear weapons when elected. As he spoke about the final Iran deal, he claimed that Iran should be given legitimacy in the international community. Encouraging Iran to have nuclear plants may increase terrorism threat to the entire world. Iran is not a country to make treaties with saying it has never kept any agreement and is an untrustworthy country. This nuclear deal will develop a nuclear weapon which is not in the best interests of America. Santorum says America needs a president like himself who can stand against the enemy as he leads a great nation.
