At the entity, managers’ act as coaches to junior employees and new hires rather can serve as supervisors or individuals that cannot be reached. In the assembly floor, employees interact with machines so that they understand the reasons why failures occur. When employees know how the devices work, they are in right positions to assess and anticipate when problems arise and hence how to solve them. Structural operational changes in Toyota are such that they are taken as experiments with explicit assumptions. They have predicted and actual results, hypothesis, and interfaces that can be measured at any time.
