One of the indirect effects of the scene is that it changed the way Elle’s friend thinks about her. Hence, Elle’s friend changes her perspective towards her and fails to recognize Elle's achievements during her internship period with Professor Callahan, where she encountered different clients and gained her trust. This is because she misinterprets the sexual harassment from the famous Prof. Callahan to be caused by Elle herself. Another indirect effect of the scene is that it affected Elle's parents.

Some of the direct effects of the sexual harassment to the law student include; anger, frustration, and a feeling of low self-esteem. The situation makes Elle, who is a law student and who wants to be a lawyer, to be mad at Professor Callahan, which makes her insult him. In addition, the sexual harassment makes Elle change her perspective towards professor’s words of encouragement. Also, the friend, who was present at the scene of Elle and the professor, now believes that Elle’s achievements were not professional but based on sleeping around with people. Elle’s friend response makes Elle very furious. This triggers her to quit the internship. Elle now feels that going to a law school and the internship as a mistake. She also believes that she did not earn anything that she ever achieved. Elle also believes that the professor gave her the internship based on her looks. The whole situation makes Elle see her career as false. Moreover, Elle is made to believe that everybody in her life sees her as a blond hair and big boobs and that no one takes her seriously. Also, the sexual harassment makes Elle see that people at law school treat her as a joke or a non-professional. Elle also thinks that her parents do not take her seriously. Also from the encounter with the professor, Elle sees herself as a “piece of ass,” which makes her see herself as a joke (Legally Blonde - Chapters 26 & 27, 2017).

Some of the options that law student have for reacting to the harassment include; confronting Professor Callahan, quitting her profession, and lowering her self-esteem.
