Every individual has its social responsibility necessary in dealing with environmental problems. Seeing these issues on a larger view, there could be a lot of questions on where and how to start. From simple waste disposal problem, this has extended to more interrelated environmental issues such as land degradation, water and air pollution, and to more complex global concerns. One of the major responses that environmentalists have focused is achieving a sustainable natural world.
The effort of dealing with the simple concerns within the society is a crucial step in understanding the biggest ecological issues. In the idea of addressing sustainability, this has point to the most common process being utilized as part of consumption, the packaging. Businesses and company manufacturers focused on its design and development with its simultaneous purpose of economic and environmental value towards the consumers. This idea can be explained by taking a paper packaging process as an example. The problem of waste disposal could be significantly lessened when the amount of materials will be reduced. As a result, the use of electricity in processing can be minimized too as well as its production cost.
Part of addressing sustainability is the proper use of the resources that are considered renewable and non-renewable. There are innovations that have great contributions in replacing non-renewable resources at lesser cost that serve the same purpose. Though these practices of research for development are participated by most of manufacturing corporations, the principle of sustainability isn’t for them alone. The success of this principle lies on the willingness on each consumer to take part in resolving environmental concerns.
