Dan MacMillan has a great presentation which is dynamic and his posture is lively. He is standing and he is moving his arms and his legs as well as his head. He laughs at times even though he remains serious when it is time for the audience to laugh. He is very entertaining and it is obvious that he had gone through this particular presentation for many times because he is self-assured and does not make any mistakes.
The posture is upright and he is showing his height and his masculinity in a great way so that people could establish a good contact with the people from the audience. He is also moving left and right although he is standing in a very small area. However, he is close to the audience and the room is not big which creates a great atmosphere.
The gestures which Dan makes are in accordance with his speech and his body language reflects his words. When he points to the presentation which he made for fun, he does that in an energetic way. It is also fun when he tells a joke about a joke and laughs at himself. This is done on purpose, but his timing is perfect and the audience is amused. He is also making sounds which involve the use of his nose and this makes him fun to watch as well.
Dan McMillan’s tone is energetic and his is talking loudly in a clear way, but he is not intimidating people. It is obvious that people are not supposed to interrupt him and that will not happen because he has their full attention because of his tone. He is informative and funny and makes fun of himself at the same time. Laughter does not confuse him because he is very experienced at presenting. He is an engineer and a comedian and he knows how to entertain the masses and to make a difficult subject interesting. Dan’s tone is the reason for which his voice is very pleasant and he has a good diction as well.
There is much eye contact with the people from the audience although he never looks into the camera. He is not confused at all and he seeks approval from people through eye contact. This is very important because he is using his whole body to establish communication with the people. The relationship between Dan and the audience is great because of his effort to make the subject interesting by engaging his whole body.
The type of speech is extemporaneous because it is obvious that his speech is prepared. It is not memorized, but he does make his presentation interesting to watch. The audience is amused and they are looking at the presentation while laughing at anything remotely funny. They have much respect for the speaker which can be seen from their feedback and applause. The part of the speech that I liked the most was when Dan talked about his personal life and there is not much that he can improve apart from the fact that he might be talking too fast. Maybe he should slow down a little bit so that people could enjoy his presentation even more. I was surprised by Dan’s self-confidence because he could keep attention of so many people and it was obvious that they genuinely cared about what he had to say. He used his whole body to deliver this speech and it can be very tiring.
