Deforestation and the balance between needs and resource preservation has become one of the core problem of modern world and lifestyle. Human population increases, and the amount of the resources to be used also grows. As a result, the whole forests turn into the deserts since people can’t stop cutting trees. In the video that was offered we could see a story for the kinds that describes the problem of forest sustainability. I am sure that there are many possible ways to balance the quality of life and the quality of the environment.
In the cartoon Lorax, the voice of the nature, tried to teach Dr. Seuss that it is dangerous to cut all the trees. First, the natural habitat of many species is destroyed, they have to migrate or just die. Moreover, the quality of the air will become awful. Trees help us to decrease the level of carbon dioxide and support the high level of oxygen in the atmosphere. Finally, the water quality becomes also bad for life. Al a result, the territory becomes unsuitable for life, and even people must leave the place to find better life and new possibilities.
I believe that there are many ways out to find the balance. People should not only cut trees, but also plant. Moreover, the intensive usage on the chosen territory leads to the ruination of the natural habitat, so it is worth not to concentrate on the one and the same place and try to balance to volume of tree cutting. Finally, it is worth to find some possible sources that can substitute wood in everyday life.
Also it is worth to teach kids that love to the nature is a must. For example, when we played together a game, related to the nature sounds, the children were excited and had a lot of fun. This game helped them to get the knowledge about biodiversity and to show how much do they know already.
All in all, there are different ways to reach the balance between the environment and life quality. Once of them is to teach people from the early years.
