The American culture is characterised by a people whose history has been ignored and ridiculed. The very people that defined the current America were frustrated and lived meaningful life. They are described as people who had very clean hearts yet not even a place to call their home. Most of the stories we read in literature about them has a unique description of their kindness and desire to help. Being kind is so much knit within their hearts that it does not matter how much they give. They believe that with the little they have, they can always make a difference in a person’s life (Alexie 175). This is most probably the reason why America feels empathy for other nations by granting them humanitarian aid. It has its roots in the natives who sowed seeds of kindness to the soil of the land.
It is however unfortunate, efforts are not being put in place to maintain such a culture. A lot is happening that is making the land more selfish than before. Nobody is willing to bear the cost of preserving culture. The country has embarrassed a lot in terms of ideologies, which has diluted the real American spirit. It is sad that a country where everybody was running to for protection, provision and security is being targeted as an enemy (Alexie 170). This is simply because the people turned from showing kindness and compassion to killing the innocent. The innocent are also being forced to kill other innocent people for what is mostly referred to us protecting its interests. The only thing that should interest America is showing love and kindness to all, this is what distinguished the native American culture to what is currently happening.
