Love is not essentially a rational analysis or a matter of intellect in this documentary. After watching the movie, we realize that love cannot be defined just as the chocolate taste can be described. It can thus be tasted and directly experienced only.
After carefully watching Love’s Confusing Joy, Rumi makes us understand that love encompasses any passion in our lives and in addition any connection with things that we care in our lives. Subsequently, this love applies to people, vocation, lifestyle, physical place, animals, and on and on. It can actually apply to meetings, email conversations with the clients, projects among other things. Rumi therefore does not mean only romantic love in this ecstatic poem. Love or particularly, “Love’s Confusing Joy” is what everybody wants.
“Love’s Confusing Joy” makes us recognize that often as human beings we actually get caught up in the pursuit of the worldly attachment, status, and prestige all of which are trappings of success. Contrariwise, we in fact focus on inner journey that is, craving the mystical attainment and also striving to explore various inner realms. Accordingly, as human beings what we truly want most is to love and to be loved by others around us. For that reason, this is a movie that is very applicable in our lives.
