The movement of people across international boundaries referred to as International migration is turning into be a colossal issue in America and the world today. Migration is perceived as a contributing factor to the social and economic problem facing humanity. Some of these problems include the rise of unemployment as well as high crime rates. This paper will look at trend migration and its impact on cultural diversity focusing on the United States in the next five years. Also, it will give two strategies that will allow the United States to mitigate the impact of concern. Subsequently, to relieve the adverse effect of migration trend, the USA has put a few methodologies that will reduce this problem in the future.
Among the strategies has been the continued effort to curbing illegal immigration. Most of Most of the US immigrants are from Africa, the Caribbean and bordering countries such as Canada (Bertinetto, 2009). In order to control illegal immigration there ought to be concerted efforts geared to promoting justice and law enforcement reforms. In the same line, the creation of public awareness program to potential migrants on the dangers connected with illegal immigration has to be put in place. It is the responsibility of the political system to create and oversee the implementation of critical immigration legislations.
Another strategy would be increasing foreign aid to developing countries. This approach would help such countries create opportunities for their citizens. As a result, the desire of people to move to the United States in search of greener pastures will be minimized. However, this should be a joint effort. All developed countries have to remain committed to fastening the development agendas of developing countries.
