Response to Post 1:
The best marketing strategy used by Vans is by self-advertisement of their products, instead of the traditional ways of advertising through print, radio and television. The company has an immediate goal which is to make sure that the general public will see their products do the real action. I agree with my classmate’s post that advertising through marketing events will allow the general to recognize the company’s brand and product. Giving out free items during product launches will entice potential consumers to know the brand, and have the customers to customize their own shoes. I agree that people love free items. Thus, the more items they receive, they will be entice to buy even more (Edwards 21).
Response to Post 2:
I agree that the marketing strategy used by the company is effective in order to promote the purchase of the goods and service. By holding out sports activities such as surfing, skiing and skateboarding can be used to market the products. Such kind of strategy initiates the flow of communication among the consumers and potential buyers. I also agree that by giving the customer free trial tests means higher sales for the company (Weisten 5). The sales promotion being implemented in the company is very effective because it has increased the sales of the product.
