In the recent past, there has been quite a number of issues trending that has hit headlines in the world. The most reliable sources where the issues can be traced from one major news reporting agencies, the BBC and another podcast retrieved from slate.com. The American calendar is again tightly scheduled for another tight race to determine who is going to be the next president of the United States of America. This is one of the major issues that have made the world to have something worth pondering about as the U.S are gain yet to begin another journey to an unpredictable destiny. This paper will therefore outline two most prolific, controversies, events of the prolific issues, and the bid for presidency of the United States of America being one of the major trending issues.
According to the podcast retrieved from slate.com, the presidential bid has tightened and each candidate is trying to amass as much popularity as possible. One of the presidential aspirants of the United States of America that has kept he world debating is Donald trump. He is quoted “..there’s no such thing as racism anymore. we’ve had a black president so it’s not a question anymoreare they saying black lives should matter more than white lives or Asian lives? If black lives matter, then go back to Africa? We’ll see how much they matter there.” (Leibovich et al). His take and hate speech against the blacks in America, the blacks in Africa has kept the world talking. Apart from Donuld Trump, Hillary Clinton has also come out as a fighter of the low income earners with the number of her vision for an equal America. However, controversies followed each of these aspirants, with the most prolifics ones being Hillary and the email she sent and Donul Trump view about blocking the immigrants from entering USA.
Once of the major concerns is the question whether Donuld wants to take the world back to the dark histories that have ever remained to be a night mare to many people across the world. His opinion, attitude and approaches to solving issues have brought a lot of controversies. This is because the approaches are some of the major causes that led to the major divisions of nations across the world and this could spark a major cold war that would turn into a detestable occurrence.
The other contentious issues concerning Donald Trump is that he has portrayed a negative attitude towards the Muslim community. As known to the whole world, the major wars and unrest has always resulted from the religious differences and so trying to suggest force as a method of solving the major challenges facing the united states is like a spark on a petroleum well. The capability of this small spark is well known that is able to turn into a menace or a major tragedy. This reminds the world the wounds and chaos of wars and reminds the blacks of the historical injustices that generations have tried to burry in vain.
Secondly, the attacks in Paris on the November 13, 2015 by gunmen and some suicide bombers hit a concert hall, restaurants, bars and a major stadium almost simultaneously also the worst of all left 130 people dead (BBC.com). This among other issues of similar case forms among some of the major world darkest moments that kept the media, the security teams , governments, stakeholders ,citizens among other concerned parties trying to come up with an everlasting solution that shall protect humanity from terror. The attacks on France was also on described by the French president as an act of war that was organized by the Islamic State(IS) militant group .(bbcnews,2015). This sad event has not escaped the memories of people. It sparks a heated debate on the urgency of having tight security measures when it comes to the matters of insecurity.
The ISIS is a name that inspires fear and a group that is gaining momentum. There is so much horrors unheard that is plaguing the Middle East of which the ISIS is the worst among the militia. According to the news derived from BBC.com, the ISIS issue has spread fear and concern across the world. The quest to protect humanity from the wrath of such malicious groups. This therefore implies the international community and governments have this issues of terror and security threats a major concern that is mindboggling and at the same time heart-rending. Trying to implement them most appropriate strategies to protect the citizens. This involves how to improve the state of security in order to cope with the quick and complex changing trends in terror attacks.
The biasness of the sources from which the aforementioned events and controversies are derived from is that they also tend to lean on one side to the American advantage than to the rest of the world. This implies that the news sources may majorly contribute in the promotion of the American agenda rather than the world agenda.
In conclusion, the period punctuated with the wind of presidential election gives rise to much controversial issues. The most prolific ones being the occurrence of bombing attacks, which triggered each presidential candidate to have their view regarding how they could curb the situation. The podcast resounds each of the view given by the candidates regarding the same.
