Seeing the house that my grand mum once lived in I feel lonely and empty. The paintings on the walls of her house it reminds me of the hard work and creativity in relation to artistic works. This left a lot of memories about her courageousness and thoughtfulness as well as her spirit of hard work. Her name was Mary Blige. My grandmother raised six children including my mother. I find it very sad about the departure of my grandmother.
When growing up, I spent most of my lifetime in her house making it my domain. The work outside her house was basically around her garden. The activities she performed on her garden were a true reflection of her hard work. She worked all along in the garden without feeling upset or tired therefore inspiring me to work hard in life without being upset or tired.
She struggled through life with difficult health conditions since she was suffering from high blood pressure. My grandmother worked very hard taking into consideration her health difficulties. This ignited me to work hard no matter the challenges we face in life. She is therefore a glimmer of hope and a source of inspiration in my life.
On special occasions, she prepared very good meals for us that helped me and my siblings to gain weight. It took her a lot of courage and magnanimity to raise many kids while at the same time she was undergoing difficult health conditions in her life.
As her energy faded away due to her old age, she still struggled to perform some activities in her house. She played a crucial role in raising us up through various life situations which required great courage and hope to pass through them. She left a mark in my life that will never be filled by anyone. I live to remember her hard work and courage as well as strong spirit of perseverance.
