Abstract
This report analyses the problem of global warming. It involves an interview with three professionals with the view of gathering information about the best way of combatting global warming and improving life for future generations. The research examines important elements of global warming at the introduction. It then formulates a data collection system which includes open ended interviews. This is gathered and collated and summarized in order to draw a conclusion on the subject. The findings indicate that global warming is an international matter. This implies that in the current model of global governance, it is difficult to deal with global warming. The solution prescribed by the respondents include the need to come up with a regime whereby nations will agree to a framework for dealing with global warming. This framework must operate in ways whereby nations will cease politicizing the issue of global warming and work towards it. The ultimate solution is to cut down on emissions, use cleaner energy and responsible production practices.
Introduction
The world has come to a point where environmental issues are considered by some people as very important and vital for the survival of the human race. Environmentalism asserts that the world’s resources are not for our generation alone, but for countless generations yet unborn. Thus, there is the need to find ways of preserving our natural resources in order to maintain a safe world for our children and descendants.
One of the biggest threats to the human race is ozone depletion which results from carbon emissions. These carbon emissions are due to industrialization and the use of fossil fuels. This is seen as something that is necessary for the advancement and modernization of every nation. There are two solutions to the problem – either nations cut down on their emissions or newer and safer technology is found which pollute the environment less. In spite of this, there is a difficulty in getting nations to come together to resolve the problem as nations see any attempts to cut back as a slowdown of their economies.
The purpose of this research is to critically analyze and review options for the limitation of carbon emission in order to reverse global warming. This will include a review of options available for the control of climate change in the 21st Century.
This research is meant to gather information about how the world can reverse and control climate change. We are the only generation that is using fossil fuel and we are the only one that has the power to industrialize at a scale that can cause a massive depletion of the ozone layer. As such, there is the need for experts to come together to formulate a solution on how the international community will be able to deal with the threat of climate change.
The proposed research will involve the interview of three students who have knowledge about climate change and global warming. These are students who have the ability to analyze and review the global order in order to provide recommendations on how climate change should be dealt with.
The interview questions are open ended and they will focus on what must be done to deal with the threat of global warming and how it should be controlled. This will involve three key questions:
How can the international community develop a framework to deal with climate change and global warming?
How can a proposed framework be put to use to attain optimal results?
How can states be made more responsible in dealing with the global warming threat?
Findings
The respondents to the interview included three students who understand science and technology and global affairs. They reviewed and analyzed the situation and drew inferences on it. The responses are as follows:
Q1: All three respondents identified that the best way to deal with global warming is to create a system whereby the international community will set standards and laws. One respondent stated that the current dispensation is quite complicated as the nation-state model is used to deal with international affairs. Due to this, every state has sovereignty and can opt out of an agreement. This makes it difficult for any agreement to be implemented. To this end, he recommended that the best approach is to create a global order at the United Nations level and integrate climate change and global warming as a major part of it.
Q2: Two respondents stated that the best solution is to entrust it to the academic community and get professionals and experts in different countries to come up with measures to deal with global warming. The third respondent said the realist view is that the governments of the nations around the world need to come up with a commitment. And that comes in by educating politicians and taking a global consensus in nations around the world. Otherwise, any attempt will fail.
Q3: The respondents stated that the best solution is that nations must not politicize global warming and climate change. And this can only be attained over a longer term horizon where a generation of people who know about climate change can take appropriate action to limit it.
Discussions
The findings show that international global warming is a major problem and challenge. Therefore, it is necessary to set up a system of dealing with global warming. And this can be done by creating a framework whereby the international community accepts that global warming and the climate change that induces it are not a hoax. Rather, we need to accept scientific evidence and work towards it.
The governments around the world will have to come together to set up laws. The view that scientists must be entrusted with controlling global warming is limited. This is because scientists are also subject to the law. And in this case, they need to be given some kind of protection and limits. This is can only be done if nations accept to deal with climate change.
Furthermore, there must be a consensus that climate change is something we must deal with as a generation. Thus, a commitment to research and development and a move towards clean fuel and more responsible practices must be encouraged around the globe.
Conclusion
Global warming is a major global challenge and it can only be fixed by a consensus to give force and power to the authorities in question. This must be done by getting states to recognize global warming as a national policy and a commitment towards research and development to end matters that lead to it.

Alternatives to Reporting
Apart from providing a structured report like what appears above, there is an option to use a visual presentation of findings. This includes the use of charts and statistics to show the impact of a given situation. This will provide a major representation of the scope of activities and help to give people insights.
Also video presentations could provide a strong narrative with visual aids that can tell this story of global warming and its impact. The use of pictures and videos could be more effective than a report. However, it might not be appropriate for an official setting.
Reflection on the Report
The report written above contains all the segments and units of a standardized report. It shows the scope of work, area of interest, data collection, discussions, analysis and conclusions. However, the introduction could have been more structured in bullet points and the discussions could have been more thorough.
