How tribe complicate the East and West relations
Tribe describes a collection of concerns in the society as well as social norms not only in the Middle East countries but all over the world. For instance, the value of tribe has had a strong influence from Iraq to the Arabian Peninsula up to the West of Morocco on determining the culture of politics and the state of society in the Middle East. According to historians, tribe have always sat for credible threats to the central governments. Therefore, it has played significant roles in making and pull apart the ruling dynasties.
The western people think that tribal persons are like nomads that do ride camels and dwell in remote desert places (Fattah, 2012). However, this is not the case, according to the Eastern Arabs who believe that there is no corresponding distinction between the tribal and non-tribal groups in any significant manner between the nomads and the settled individuals. The big Eastern tribes do not migrate. However, tribes led to the most serious setback to the political elites of the post-colonial independent Arab States.
How the understanding of the tribal system enhanced east/west relations
The westerners such as the Persians are using tribal ways as protection against the emerging and powerful neighboring dynasties. Additionally, the western forces also promote tribalism to counterbalance the rising urban thoughts of nationalism. All western colonies such as the French, British, Romans, and the Persians have tried to manipulate tribes. For example, the Romans allocated some payments in the Eastern region to guard the area for external invasion. Similarly, tribal organization have facilitated the capability of the Easterners to defend life and property for the purpose of patriotism (Salzman, 2008). Thereby, facilitating control over other people as well as their resources.
