The influence of the ancient Greek and architectural exits in contemporary houses and is apparent in many buildings in large cities. The effect of the columns and intricate scroll work is style is still so beautiful and captures the eye and sense of the onlooker. The use of this architecture adds to the property in both existential and aesthetic appearances.
This architecture is something that you will probably recognize and did not connect the modern building to the ancient architecture. One style and the most famous and well recognizable is called the Doric featured in the oldest building of the Parthenon. Just think of the large vertical columns and the plain roof and your mind can conjure up the image of the ancient Greek buildings. But you don't have to go to Greece to see that style in that many buildings and homes around the world has this architecture.
The second most famous style is the Ionic architecture which is my favorite because it has the delicate, intricate and long, elegant columns. The White House in the United States has some of the Ionic style.
And the third style is called the Corinthian style, similar to the Ionic style, and some believe that it is an updated style of the Ionic. This style has much more detail in the columns than the Ionic. The Capitol Building in Washington D.C. is an example of this style. You can see American tobacco-leaves in some of the motives of the columns. In the Building, there is an awesome room called, appropriately, the Hall of Columns, including 28 fluted columns made out of marble and line the whole corridor of the building.
