It is evident that motivation in the various organizations is paramount. Therefore, the research will entail an analysis of the importance of motivation, and the adoption of the various perspectives top gather the meanings and instances of motivation in diverse environmental settings, relative to the workplace (Goleman, 2016). The value of motivation in the workplace is very high because the workers will work for a better outcome depending on the level of motivation presented to them. It reminds me of the various situations I ever encountered in the workplace, where I received the various levels of motivation.
Sometimes the manager at a company that I worked with, a few months ago, could come around the departments and he could reward a person by giving objects like the motivational books for one to read at their free time (Goleman, 2016). It was a book selling a business and the performance of the business could rise significantly because the workers were in good terms with the manager.
It was not easy to differentiate the manager from the rest of the workforce because he used to spend much time talking to the junior officers in the language they could understand better. The level of motivation could impact the outcomes based on the degree of motivation offered.
The outside instances that affected my level of motivation included the government policies that brought about the need to transfer the managers, to ensure that uniform development exists in almost all places within the region (Goleman, 2016). It happened that the manager was transferred to another place, and the new manager was not as friendly. Therefore, most people lost the motivations significantly, an act that led to a slight reduction in the performance of the business.
As a health administrator, the most appropriate strategies for the motivation of the workers would be rewarding them for a better performance on immediately after the execution of the respective services (Goleman, 2016). The workers will also have enough time to rest, as well as going for trips and leisure at selected points in time, during the progress of the business operations. Motivation is very important for every business. Most specifically, the varied levels and preferences of motivation among the nurses and the rest of the staff will be catered for in the strategy.
