However a different character trait is seen when he makes efforts to watch over his sick father. This shows that his personality is likeable but his dislike for different races makes him loose character. This leads him to victimize others as a result of his power. The personality is however put to test when the cops ironically find themselves saving the lives of the same television director and his wife. This completely gives them a lesson to learn concerning their behavior.
The film tries to show a difference in how one is seen and his real personality and background is. Consequently, Shaun Toub, who is an Iranian, is thought to be Arab. The Iranian and the wife if the district attorneys named Sandra Bullock have a notion that Daniel Ruiz is a crook. However, he is identified as a family man.
