This clip- 86 minutes clip- depicts the great work of Arvo who happens to be born in Paide. His place of birth is captured from his first memory where he ends up giving his place of birth.
The clip depicts the great role that Arvo has played and his generous contribution in the music industry. From the clip, we learn of the importance of combining two voices thereby ending up with a more serious result. He illustrates this further by giving an example of two people whose paths seem to cross but they don’t. The clip also illustrates a positive experience between Arvo and a janitor. He asks the janitor on how a composer should write his music. The answer that he gets from the janitor is something he had never had before-that the composer must love each single sound. This is how a composer must understand music since this knowledge opens an entirely new world for him/her. This secret as illustrated by the clip requires great effort and work, but if you know it, then it is easier to know what it’s all about. This illustration teaches the importance to concentrate on each sound so that every blade of grass would be as important as a flower.
W e also learns that no one is perfect .We find that, he could sometime come up with work that could not be played. This did not deter his work since he was flexible enough to delete it, thereby creating a room for creativity and innovativeness-he always came up with a solution.
The clip also comprises of the past life of Arvo-when he first played the piano and his legs were moving at a similar manner with his hands, but they stopped when his presentation was over. It also illustrates how they used to take tomatoes with sugar when they were little. But the clip vividly depicts on the work of Arvo as a teacher and a great and successful composer as far as the music industry is concerned. He illustrates the necessities of a successful composer- he/she must have the knowledge or the perception of what’s coming when the hand goes down. What are the first and the second note? To him, the first step is everything decisive before he/she starts writing the music.
