The diligent and highly reputable film director Danny Boyle starts his piece of work, the slum dog millionaire with captivating stand still captions that depicts the true nature and situation of the Indian society. The Indian religion popularly recognized as Hinduism is clearly brought out in the film to depict the Indian traditional religion. This reveals that the Indian society is linked to a supernatural to and believes in being from which they derive their spiritual nourishment.
Poverty in India is another traditional aspect that is clearly highlighted in the film. The Indian society has always been associated with poverty since time immemorial. This is supported by the vivid illustration of the Indian society as an emerging economy. The traditional slum settlements as a result of the immense poverty levels in the Indian society have been captured and form a larger part of the film.
A critical analysis of the film reveals that there is an extensive celebration of the regions and aspects that symbolizes western cultures and their models of development. In addition to this, the film has also been recognized for its vast representation of global traditions and cultural flows in issues of ascription achievement, status and labor in a larger context of the film.

The slum dog millionaire has been depicted in an ethnic set up because it has explored more of the Indian culture. In this movie, the setting was Mumbai India. The film is generally about a soldier in this country. The cultural aspects of the people of India were fully taken into consideration in the movie as opposed to many of the modern movies which has adapted the western or Hollywood culture.
The film portrays the story of the humble soldier who was beaten at the church for a mere reason of playing cards. The film shows how this soldier was molested and tortured by the police. The brutality and mistreatment by the police is therefore reflected in the film. The issue of social classes has been reflected in this film. The film has also depicted the theme of poverty in India and the financial challenges face by the people of India.

The film slum dog millionaire can be list among the most successful films of all times. The film director successfully captures develops and sustains the highly captivating plot. The film’s unique cinematography, soundtrack and editing is amazing to every viewer. This is supported by the numerous awards won by the film; as a result the film is worth recommending to a friend. What I never liked about this movie is the fact that the police were brutally molesting and torturing the humble soldier. This amounts to denial of human rights which is against humanity because people should be treated in the right and judged for reasonable things they have done. This film also has an issue to do with social class which segmentation the population based on wealth this increases the gap between and the poor. Some of the rituals performed were not good, for instance, men bathing at the river.
The film is not universal but is based on only one culture therefore may not make much sense to the majority of the population. The film has also depicted the terrible situation of the street urchins in India. This situation of the children is not an easy task.
