The whole idea of a woman’s body being used as an object and how the advertisers use it to market their products is shocking. It is sad that we enjoy such adverts and not really understanding what they imply. Some of the sections that stood out is trying to replace the attraction that men have towards women to the products being advertised. Realizing that sex and passion are one of the main things that men look for in men, sexually erosive parts have been used and replaced with products such as beer and cars. This definitely diminishes the role of women and the fact that they are not human beings. I was also shocked at the fact that fashion and model industries could go to such an extent of requiring women to be extremely skinny do their work. This makes me wonder if the purchasers of the garments must be that skinny to purchase them.
The use of young children and having them dress in exposing clothes to promote fashion should not be advisable. The minds of such young girls are polluted and hence making them not to enjoy their childhood. This is one of the reasons behind young girls engaging into premature sex and sexual violence in children. I was more surprised at the fact that the fashion industry has introduced high heels for babies. Having heard of the dangers associated with wearing high heels even among adults, I find it quite ironical introducing young children into such a culture. It is therefore clear that we all have to blame for the decreasing morals in the society. People have become so obsessed with money and the need to be rich that they have lost humanity. It is hence a high time that we realize, in as much as things will come and go, humanity should never depart from us.
