All three news stations have same comment and reporting. However, the difference lies in the manner they present evidence and arguments. For MSNBC, it has the ability to draw reactions to news events and use angles that can affect the audience in terms of delivering major national stories or the tragedies that occur in the community (Rich 5). It seeks to look at the local angle by presenting facts and evidence to prove the truthfulness of the story to convince the audience. This network can back up their story by providing credible and trustworthy witnesses to make their reporting more believable. Both the documentary and testimonies of the victims are well presented to give a balanced reporting of events as they happened.
In the case of CNN, it has earned world-wide popularity based on its track record for giving the audience an unbiased reporting of new events and current affairs. It was able to provide the audience documentary and testimonial evidence of the material facts of major news events. At the same time, they are able to convince the audience with the information and data as truthfully as they can with their renowned news anchors. This gives the story more credibility because they give out raw facts and mostly unedited version of the interviews of the subjects.
In the case of Fox, the evidence and arguments that they presented to the audience can be compared to reading the national paper because they lack substance. In some instances, they fail to provide balanced reporting since they only present one side of the story and not in its entirety. As a result, it does not give the parties equal opportunities to present their own versions. However, in terms of updates and comments, they are timely and keep the audience well-informed.
