My Degree Program Essay Samples

The degree program that I chose is Business Management. The reason why I selected this degree is because I consider it as the perfect fit for me. When I was in the process of selecting my desired degree, I assessed both my interests and personality. I enjoy talking with other people and consider myself as an outgoing type person. I see myself being in the business industry wherein I can share my innovation and unique ideas to people in hopes that it will change the landscape of society. I get inspired when I hear about the success stories of people who managed to move society through the use of their products. I always tell myself that one day I would join the ranks of Steve Jobs or Bill Gates and contribute towards the improvement of other people’s lives.
I expect that the degree will allow me to build my career in the future. When I say I career, I mean a responsibility that I see myself constantly progressing. As mentioned, earlier since I define myself as someone innovative, I want to be always on the move. With a career in business, I envision myself travelling to different places and meeting different people. When I meet other people, I know that I will widen my horizons because I will learn new things and values from them. When I get the chance to travel abroad, for example, I can learn about the culture of other people. I can learn not only about their business practices but also their unique social norms and cultures. I want to explore new countries especially those far from here. I want to reach Japan, for example, the country is known as one of the power-houses in Asia. They put premium to quality and cost-effectiveness that is why their productivity level is high. When I go to different places, I can get new information and adapt them to my own for personal improvement and growth.
The degree will provide me with different work opportunities in the future. I consider business as a vital component in society, it is fast-paced. Although it is risky at some point, I still consider it rewarding. I know that it offers a good amount of salary, but outside the monetary benefits, this degree will help me improve both as an individual and professional. I want to be financially stable and independent in the future. I want to be able to provide for myself and at the same time support and give back to my family who invested so much on my education.
In less than two years, I see myself completing the degree. Although, I acknowledge that it will be demanding, I still believe that I can give myself this timeline to finish it. I need to work hard and double my efforts. I need to balance my time and resources wisely so that I can make the most out of my time in earning Business Management. I am prepared to take on the difficult requirements. It will not be easy but I know that with the proper amount of motivation and dedication I can achieve my goals. I need to learn to work well with others and at the same time develop independence. I also need to improve my communication skills so that I can express my ideas better and reach more people in the process.
