The company of books they say is the best company a person can get. The knowledge they provide stays with their reader forever. I am not much of a reader. But there are books that have had a great impact on my perspective of life. These books have left an impression so deep on me that I find myself implementing some lessons that I learnt through them. I have read a few good books but the most that impacted me are sure to stay with me. This is a small piece on the three most memorable books of mine (Thesis).
These three books are “Great Expectations” by Charles Dickens, “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen and “Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial” by Anthony “Tony” Robins.
The first book that made an impact on my life was the classic novel The Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. This book taught me how the beginnings do not matter and the world is place for the ones who fight and learn to never give up. This book also taught me on how to be compassionate even when the world may seem entirely otherwise. The high running emotions and drama in this book always remind me of my emotional side and how I must respect who I am.
The second book that remains fresh in my memory As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen, is one tremendous inspiration. It is a book that must be read by the ones who wish to derive inspiration from life. This book is unique because of its style of writing. It is one of those books that does not instruct, force you to think its way or guide you through a path that may not be yours at all. It eases you into recognizing yourself, a meditation written on pages. Reading this book was self-enlightening and an experience that I still cherish whenever I can lay hands on one of its copies
The third book, “Awaken the Giant Within” by Anthony Robins, is a true inspiration for me. This book is a tremendous dose of determination for anyone who aspires to be a leader in life, who wishes to achieve and become something. This book inspires me to work on and never give up, work hard and smart at the same time. It made me aware and put me in-charge of me and my surroundings.
I believe that everyone who knows how to read has read books that have forced them to think, to change and to grow into someone better. I ask you reader to ponder on the power of words and thoughts that created them. Are they not worth envisaging? It is perfectly a matter of choices, for me these books have become memorable in a unique manner, they inspired me, honed me and made me touch my emotional side.
