To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter in reference to a grave concern I have for my well-being and safety. For the past few months, I have been experiencing increasing harassment and what I believe to be gross invasion of my privacy on the part of my neighbors. I have good reason to think that they have been using cameras and other forms of investigation to peer in on my private life and watch me no matter where I go. Their reasons for watching me to this extended, uncomfortable level are unknown, not to mention extremely disconcerting. I have confronted the people in question about these actions – their response is to either call the event a coincidence or say that I am acting irrational, and that I am getting upset over nothing. This has happened a great number of times, too many to be a coincidence, and I am desperately searching for options. Furthermore, I have numerous witness accounts from my parents, friends, my significant other, and other neighbors, all stating that they notice small but significant clues that my neighbors are watching me more often than they should. They are never anything too damning or concrete, but they happen so often that I feel that there is a problem.
In addition to that, I have talked to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for advice on what to do, and they advised me that I should consult private investigators; however, I cannot spare the expense of hiring an expensive service to watch my neighbors, which leaves me with few options. Also, I have personally noticed several instances of them watching me with video cameras through their windows, in mine, and following me around whenever I leave my apartment. This entire situation has left me very distraught, and it is seriously affecting my quality of life. I am scared to even live in my home, much less leave it, in the event that my neighbor continues to spy on me. This type of situation is untenable, and as a result I have no choice but to take whatever action I can to stop it.
My efforts at communication and seeking help have been met with cynicism and skepticism, which has been extremely frustrating for me, as I feel that this is a legitimate problem. I have contacted the manager of Maxx Properties in the past to deal with this issue, but they were very uncooperative and rude; nonetheless, they promised to help me with my problem in the event that I am able to give them proof of suspicious behavior on their part. I have attempted to talk to my manager’s superior, Chris Finek, for help, but he brushed off my concerns and was also generally unsympathetic; I plan to talk to his immediate superior, Rick Kerr, and report Finek’s unhelpful behavior – I have left a message with Kerr, and am waiting a return phone call. In the event that he is unwilling to help me as well, I additionally plan to contact the owner of MAXX Properties, and failing that, whoever will give me the assistance I need in order to regain my privacy and sense of safety.
