This is my personal identity poster. I wanted to show that I am from China, but that I am also very grateful for having an education and pursuing my interests in Australia. I really like handiwork, but I am not that good with it. I also like to jog or go to the gym when I am not studying. So I wanted to incorporate four images into my poster: two to represent my interests in handiwork and working out, and two to represent the flags of my homeland and where I study. I used Photoshop to do this project. I wanted to really incorporate the concept of contrast in color and layout. I wanted to make the images on opposing ends of the poster, and color them with red or blue. These are the major colors of the Chinese and Australian flags, and I used the colors also on the opposing ends of the entire poster in order to create the contrasting look that I was going for. I also blurred all images in order to make them softer and not so sharp, so that it is easier to look at. The colors that I used for the background are not very bold shades of red or blue either, but they are lighter than the shades on the flag so that they are easier to look at, as well. I also titled the poster in yellow in order to contrast it from the blue background and make it easy to read.
