Statement of Purpose
An IT company is facing problems to provide quality of services to the customer due to inefficient and ineffective manual business operations. Therefore, the company is reducing the customer’s satisfaction level as well as the profit margin.
Project Overview
In order to increase the customer’s satisfaction level as well as enhance the business, the company decided to implement a Management Information System (MIS) for the IT Company, which is dealing with all their hardware and software products. The MIS is expected to resolve the existing problems of the company as well as support the management to take informed decisions and developing strategies and policies. One of the objectives of the deployment of the MIS is to provide an automated environment in a way that the company can provide quality services in an efficient and effective manner. The ultimate goal of the MIS implementation is to reduce the operating cost of the company, while raise in revenue (O'Brien & Marakas, 2009).
Key Milestones
There are six (6) major milestones of this IT project that include the following, the development of project charter, project plan, risk management plan, communication plan, procurement of hardware and software, MIS Design and Deployment.
Budgetary Statement
As per the initial cost analysis of the IT project, it is identified that the IT project would be completed in $250,000. There are total five (5) phases of the project include, the project initiation, planning, project execution, control and project closure. The budget allocated to each of the phases include, the budget allocation to the initiation phase is "$28,320.00", the budget allocation to the planning phase is "$6,200.00", the budget allocation to the execution phase is "$186,840.00", the budget allocation to the controlling phase is "$27,360.00" and an amount of "$1,280.00" is allocated to the project closure phase.
