The report is an analysis of the claims made by Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump in the Nevada Caucus. The following paragraphs will examine the points made and repeated by Donald Trump during the caucus. Every essential point made by Donald Trump has been identified and mentioned with a brief explanation of the background and his personal critique on the issue. I would like to thank professor XYZ for providing me with the opportunity to analyse the current political scenario and understand the policies proposed by Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Trumps Proposed Policies
Donald Trump has been one of the most surprising and dominant candidates in the history of American politics. After his dominating victories and New Hampshire and South Carolina, the Nevada Caucus turned out to be third straight victory for Republican candidate Donald J. Trump. Most of Trump’s campaign has been about pointing out the mistakes of the Obama administration and stating that the current leadership is weak and makes make lose to China, Mexico, etc. Trump also repeated his points that under his leadership American will be great again and he will make sure America is respected by every country in the world. Trump also added that he will bring back the jobs lost by Americans to foreign shores. Above all, Trump repeated that he will make a wall between America and Mexico to make sure people can only come in through legal means.
After another victory in Nevada, Donald Trump has pointed out that he will surely knock out a few of the President Obama’s executive orders such as the Iran Deal, Obamacare, etc. as they are not in the best interest of America. Trump has been highly open about his opinion on the current policies of President Obama and how they need to be removed to make sure American is the main superpower in the country. Trump has also mentioned that due to the callous nature of President Obama towards American interests, other countries such as Mexico and China have taken advantage.
Trump again retaliated, his desire of making sure that the proposed wall is built between Mexico and the United States of America. Trump restated his feeling in Nevada too, “"One, on border where people can pour into (the) country like Swiss cheese” (Trump). Trump promised to make sure Mexicans who he tagged as rapists and criminals are not allowed to enter America unless they come in legally. Trump also claimed that President Bush made a huge mistake by starting a war with Iraq and blamed the Bush administration for lying to the country about the presence of WMD (weapons of mass destruction) with Iraq. Trump also promised to take care of American military and vets and ensure they are provided their due rights.
The Biggest Point
“We won the evangelicals, We won with young. We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated. (Trump)”. In addition, Donald Trump also identified that he also won half of the Latino votes despite calling them criminals and rapists. Such a claim meant that Trump’s support is coming from all quarters of the country and from all demographics. Such a support means that Donald Trump is at least shoe in to become the Republican nominee for the Presidential election. Also, his popularity with the Latino vote also shares that fact that even they share his sentiments and many of the Latinos would welcome his leadership. This point is important because it highlights the opinion of American towards Donald Trump, who was once considered an outsider for many Republicans. By showing such astonishing results, Donald Trump has proven he will have the support of masses.
