Impact of Entrepreneurship On Society
Introduction
The contemporary society is developing quite fast so that the people become involved in the heated competition with each other for the available goods and welfare. Accordingly, the spread of globalization influences the development of the entrepreneurship within the world, so that people can no face lack of the technologies, products in case the financial resources are available. In comparison with the previous century, the amount of the entrepreneurs in the world is rapidly increasing today as people consider this enrollment may ensure the receipt of different social benefits in addition to the permanent source of the revenue. In this regard, the paper contains the overview of the notion of entrepreneurship, its impact over the development of the personality.
For the purposes of the evaluation of the benefits from the development of the entrepreneurship in the current world, it is highly important to consider the meaning of this term. Under entrepreneurship one should understand that particular person should have the appropriate desire to enter the competitive environment, where the startup will be introduced. With that, the person should take into account that this activity will result in the formation of the several risks and challenges before the entrepreneur during the organization and management of the business unit due to the fact that the competitive environment is a subject of the permanent change. Besides, the entrepreneurship is the positive event in the contemporary society as it involves the cooperation of different categories of people as the innovators in the business sphere, inventors, leaders, etc.
In addition to the above mentioned statement, entrepreneurship means the existence of the particular resource. Any person by virtue of the entrepreneurship delivers own personality in form of the production of the particular product or presentation of the service to the usage of society. The delivery of these goods and services to other individuals will result in the receipt of certain portion of the profit. With that, special attention should be given to the consideration of the benefits out of the involvement in the entrepreneurship as the independent and interesting sphere of the activity. First of all, entrepreneurship gives the opportunity to create wealth and contribute to the existing welfare. Regardless of the fact that entrepreneurship is the personal sphere of the business activity that should address the revenue for the particular person, it influences the economy of the particular country in general. The state bodies collect the appropriate taxes from the entrepreneurs, which are spent further on the satisfaction of the needs of the different categories of society. Consequently, the main benefit of the entrepreneurship lies in the purpose of this activity. Any result of the businessman is linked directly with the necessity to develop or produce the product that should meet the special needs or expectations of the society. Therefore, the availability of the particular products means that the entrepreneur has succeeded in the presentation of the product that bears value for the client. Accordingly, the entrepreneurship forces the development of the innovative technologies and progress.
The existence of the competition between business units results in the existence of the special environment where different companies attempt to advance each other with the aim to attract more users and gain increased profit at the end of the day. In case the entrepreneurship does not exist, the businessman can not have the understanding that there is a need for the development and constant progress. Thus, one may state that the current availability of the different categories of the mobile phones, devices is the outcome of the heated competition between the startup in diversified dimensions. At the same time, the innovative progress facilitates the development of the domestic market of every country as the state refers to the actions with the purpose to promote the goods to the foreign markets. The export of these products forms the reputation of the country outside its borders and influences positively the revenue of the country in case of the significant volumes of the realization of the goods or services exposed on behalf of the resident.
In contrast, there is another side of the development of the entrepreneurship. In particular, the efficient startup attracts different workers which should have special skills. Therefore, the business units invited many workers to work with. This fact confirms the important benefit in form of the creation of working opportunities for the local and foreign population. The increase of the working places for the people influences the employment level in the country. Therefore, the spread of the entrepreneurship bears valuable social and economical effects to the population and the state in general. Besides, the supplementary effects of this activity should be taken into account as well. In case any company launches startup in the foreign jurisdiction, this business unit will create profit for the budget of this country due to the fact that this company will purchase the local goods. In fact, these transactions have the positive effect on the foreign economy, while the country of the headquarter of the startup will not gain the same profit from the activity of this business unit (Mason, 2012, p.80).
Simultaneously, the main pros out of the entrepreneurship may be covered by the following groups and classifications. The entrepreneurs introduce to the society the innovations and facilitate the economical prosperity. With that, one should understand that the entrepreneurs is the main category of the population that is working at the creation of the new technologies and the elaboration of special class of products. This production should expand the relevant market and impact the demand among the population on the purchase of certain goods. In particular, the successful introduction of the innovations may be seen in the products developed by Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc. These goods have been quite new since the early beginning while the users were surprised with the appearance of these products in the markets. However, today one can not imagine the mobile phone industry without the presence of Apple so that the population is dependent on the release of new iPhone. Therefore, Apples accepts the existence of the demand and attempts to follow its entrepreneurship strategy for the satisfaction of the needs of the population in this market. Moreover, the introduction of the innovative goods affects the economical development of the country. If the startup is efficient in local jurisdiction, it will have the aim to expand its market and export the products to the foreign markets. This activity will imply the existence of the additional revenue for the budget of the country in form of the taxation, export and import transactions, etc. Meanwhile, in case this innovative good or service is unique, the startup will attract the tourists or other businessmen to come to the local jurisdiction with the purpose to consider this good (Meewella & Sandhu, 2012).
Coming back to the issue of the social benefit of the entrepreneurship over the welfare of the population, one should dwell on the effects at the labour market. Given the fact that the startup at the first stage involves minimal amount of the people, its further development will attract more people. The analysis of the International Labour Organization presents the evidence that the enterprises is the main drivers of the positive shifts in the labour market. For example, Zara has subsidiaries approximately in every country in the world for the distribution of the clothes produced by the company. This kind of activity means that the business unit has already provided overwhelming amount of the people in these countries with the relevant working conditions and opportunities. Due to the fact that the state itself can not address the problems with the lack of the working places for the local population, the entrepreneurs may resolve this problem with the personal resources. Moreover, the social effect of the entrepreneurship lies in the fact that the companies influences the educational opportunities and skills of the workers. Therefore, if business unit requires the delivery of special types of the services to the clients, the workers should have the proper skills with the relevant educational background. In this regard, the company launched training for its employees while the local population gains the competetive advantage in comparison with the other people. For example, Google has special internship programs for the perspective employees on the development of the applications, programming, etc. Even in case the person fails during the accomplishment of the exam session, this knowledge will be quite important for this person as he will have the advantage over the other person at the employment market. Furthermore, the involvement in the entrepreneurship activity means that that the person is working at the production of the relevant skills, attitudes of the individual jointly with the interesting initiatives that beat the special and unique contribution to the community (Barinaga, 2013, p.354).
Consequently, the enterpreneurship influences the personal growth of the individual. Being the entrepreneur is the art of follow the search for the creativity and inspiration. In this respect, the introduction of the startup forces the development of the creativity cells in the brain of the person while the business men are features win the high level of the independence from the rest of the community and the reliability. Given the fact that entrepreneurs may define on their own the timetable, internal procedures, the activity of these people is not controlled by the hierarchy of the large corporations. With that, entrepreneurs may create in its company the friendly and contributing environment where the strict limitations do not exist and the employees feel themselves comfortable for the creation of the personal value to the activity of the company. The surveys and several researches show that working under these conditions facilitates the booster of the creativity as the person is flexible in his actions and accept the responsibility for the improper behaviour among the other employees (van Praag & Versloot, 2008, p.100).
Simultaneously, the last decade shows that the overwhelming amount of the entrepreneurs are working today at the creation of the range of the social goods for the people. In particular, there is an agenda on form of the deliberate plan of actions that address the major problems of the humankind. Among the most important issues today are the necessity to reduce the poverty and respond to climate change, etc. This agenda has been developed by the members of the United Nations while the organization is scarce for the financial support. Therefore, the business units within the world jointly with the state government should cooperate at the realization of this agenda for the formation of the valuable welfare for the humankind. In fact, the major production giants are working today at the elimination of these problems by virtue of the implementation of the corporate social responsibility and strategy of sustainable development. The last pillar of the activity means that business unit pursues the desire to protect the environment against the gas emissions, CO2 increase, etc. Moreover, the entrepreneurships recognize that business units are the only subjects that are responsible to some extent for the shifts in the climate. In particular, the volumes of the productions of the different companies have been dramatically increased since the first launch of the factory in the world. This fact results in the damaging of the environment, while only now the companies are proceeding with the adjustment of the sustainable strategy accordingly (Archer, n.d.).
Conclusion
Enterpreneurship is part and parcel of the contemporary society. Every day the world
is becoming familiar with breathtaking developments and innovations. By virtue of the enterpreneurship, the peoples may feel freedom and present to the world personal significance. The overview of the notion of enterpreneurship and its features confirms that this activity creates the significant benefits for the business unit, individual and the state itself. In general, the existence of the suitable environment in the country for the run up of the enterprises means that the country will have the opportunity to increase the budget revenue, taxation collection, while the employment level will be influenced as well. In addition, the enterprises today are highly concerned with the creation of social goods for the people as the main subjects of the life of the community.
