Public and Community Health Nursing
Achieving an improved community health is one of the roles of nursing practice. It involves public health, to which the nursing professional not only works with one patient at-a-time. The public health or community health nurses aim to provide education to people when it comes to health issues (explorehealthcareers.org). Thus, part of their goals is to improve the safety and health of the community and to increase their access to healthcare. There are various challenges that could influence the over community health (Meadows, 2009). However, there are different theories that can be applied so as to achieve an improved community health. These theories will be explored as to how they were applied in based on each article’s presentation and how each theory’s philosophy is fit with my personal philosophy of nursing.
