Leadership, Roberta writes, “Is the ability one has to influence others to follow their footsteps.” This is the fundamental asset into achieving success. The art of marketing requires the act to demonstrate leadership. This paper will discuss the ability of a learner to exhibit a perceptive of how to lead people successfully. In addition, this paper will look at the complex business environments. The section contains three questions, answered in paragraph forms. As a learner of organization leadership, I have identified various artifacts that demonstrate on how I effectively lead people.
First, as a leader, I kept on moving regardless of the situation as it takes much devotion and endeavor in order to be successful. I did not give up easily on something. When faced with a challenge, I pursued it in the best way. I had honor, character and provided selfless services to the people. I also exhibited qualities such as integrity, openness and dedicationMy reflections on how these artifacts demonstrate how I met the outcome are, by keeping on moving regardless of the situation and ensured that I was on the right track to achieving my goals. Secondly, by not giving up easily, I could pursue a challenge in the best way possible (Pride & Ferrell, 2012). For example, when I left the army, I made the decision of obtaining a degree although I had a family and was in a new country. Thirdly, by being in the army, honor, character and provision of selfless service was the basis of a good leader. I was able to command others effectively. Fourthly, by having the qualities of a good leader, people would consult me if they were in trouble and ask for guidance.
My future learning goals include, identifying other qualities that are presents in leaders through research and reading. In addition, I would reflect on the leadership styles exhibited by well-known leaders. I would continue to develop my presentation by applying the relevant information that I have obtained. Additionally, I would reflect and analyze my leadership styles in order to identify the most effective styles to use in certain situations.
This second section demonstrates the ability of one to construct documents that show thoughtful use of technological tools. First, I will provide a list of artifacts that describe how I was able to use technological tools (Gillespie et al. 2010). They include:Use of marketing video case on Harley-Davidson; Use of a business plan on Super Naturals Retail Company; Dealing with three problem solving processes which customers use
My reflections on how these artifacts demonstrated how I met the outcome were that each artifact provided relevant information. From the video case on Harley-Davidson, I was able to show on the importance of consistency of quality to the company. I also devised a marketing plan for Super Naturals Retail Company, which deals with organic products. In the plan, I discussed several areas including the product, price strategy, distribution, target market among others (Gillespie et al. 2010). Through this, I was able to identify the various and significant marketing sectors. These essential aspects aid in the achievement of organizational goals and mission in a sequential manner. From the three problem solving process, I identified that customers used extended problem solving, limited problem solving and routinizing behaviors when purchasing goods or services. This helped me in decision processes that included purchasing of goods and services.
My future learning goal related to using technological tools are to equip myself with the most relevant tools that aid me in constructing documents. I will further my education by researching, far-and-wide and carry out more research on the topic of business management. In the case of professional development opportunities like going to visit organizations, I would take the opportunity to learn more especially by applying the theory into practices. Reflecting on my experiences as a customer would be part of the learning goals.
