What type of architecture the new payroll should use and why
The payroll system that has been used in a large organization covers multiple distance areas using Wide Area Network (WAN) that is able to connect with small networks known as Local Area Network (LAN). The Wide Area Network (WAN) is developed for the payroll program of a large organization that has various brances across United States. The network users are provided with access to the system through WAN. There are many challenges involved in building a payroll system for a large organization. It is important that the right architecture is deployed to develop an effective payroll program. A WAN diagram should be designed along with appropriate documentation that will help in providing a visual representation of the architecture implemented. The local design of the payroll system is integrated into the physical structure of the system including software, network support, hardware and the process methods (Micah, 2010).
The implementation of a proper payroll program is important, and the design of an appropriate of architecture system is significant. This architecture that is stated above should meet all the requirements of a large organization. Hence, an effective payroll program should integrate network design and architecture in a manner that is time effective to implement, less costly, flexible and technically related with the structure of a large organization. The significant impact of this system is that the wages will be processed with accuracy and speed. When the system is automated, the chances of human error in paycheck development will reduce. This will also help in reducing the tension phase of the managers and accounting staff that they undergo when compiling the financial payroll sheets of the employees (Micah, 2010).
What type of technology will be involved and the purpose of technology
There are multiple technologies that are involved in the implementation of the payroll program, and this program does not operate in isolation. The payroll program has to collaborate intensely with the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and the Financial Information System (FIS) of the company. Many of the architectural network projects introduce Management Information System (MIS) along with the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP). Hence, it is important that the payroll system should be very carefully and efficiently planned with the integration of the technologies stated above (Micah, 2010).
Since we are dealing with a large organization, it is significant that a high-end payroll program should be developed with integration of Enterprise Resource Planning software. These integrated architecture programs can be integrated and well-coordinated together to meet the needs and requirements of the organization. This payroll system is also integrated with Human Resource Management System, which interfaces with the financial system as well that is provided with different vendors. This results in the designing of customized program between the systems provided by several vendors.

Even though the introduction of the new architectural system sound great and the implementation process is also sound, but the new payroll program has enabled the company to pay for the overtime of its workforce, along with handling the late comings deductions in its different offices where the employees are present. Apart from this, there can be a violation in accessing the personal information of employees through this program. This information can be accessed by different people who have access to the payroll program, and this is ethically wrong. The company will have to ensure that this violation is limited, and the personal information of other employees should not be accessed by all. If the implementation of the payroll program is not performed internally and the company outsources it, it will result in loss of jobs. This is another ethical concern that the company should consider and manage well.
