Introduction to peer review
A Peer review is a procedure of self-regulation by an individual or a procedure of assessment concerning capable individuals within a relevant field. The Peer review techniques are used to uphold standards, develop performance and offer credibility. For this course, this particular peer review was done on the life story interviews done on selected individuals by my course members.
Strengths
The life story paper has an intense introduction that holds the person who reads and generates curiosity. It contains detailed background information on the individual in question: Michael. In addition, the Thesis is clear and focused on the task at hand, that is describing the life story interview of the aforementioned individual. The topic is also described within the topic area and it is explained as per the initial purpose of the study very clearly.
The writing style is also very professional and yet still easy to understand. It is a good job! The grammatical errors are negligible and the essay flows from one event to another as if portraying a continuous account of Michael’s Life like a novel.
The author of this paper has clearly balanced the implications of the findings with limitations of the study effectively. I got a nice sense for what you think the study does show as well as its possible flaws.
Introduction
In the third sentence of the introductory paragraph, it is not clear what the angle of the sentence is. It is a bit ambiguous and one cannot tell the reason for the author using it. In addition, the details about the person being interviewed may be nice but it is not conclusive enough. The introduction also concludes unexpectedly as if some areas on interest are suddenly omitted. For instance apart from Michael coaching his daughters’ softball team and planning to coach at a local high school in the near future, what is he doing to achieve this. The introduction leaves the reader hanging and a little bit confused.
However, Apart from these few discrepancies, the introduction is Well-developed introduction engages the reader and creates interest. Contains detailed background information.
Main Body
Besides this, the overall writing is done in a smooth, skilful, and coherent manner. The sentences are strong and communicative with mottled organization, not forgetting that the diction is consistent and words well chosen. The Punctuation, spelling, and capitalization are correct with minimal errors.
Conclusion
Peer reviews are considered provided that they are written by authors with widespread research experience in the profession, more often than not reproduced in numerous noteworthy journals. Such peer reviews significantly evaluate and recapitulate literature on a widespread topic area however do not set explicit criteria for select literature to be incorporated or an overt review procedure. A peer review should draw jointly major arguments in a field of dissertation or offer a noteworthy historical reassessment of a significant characteristic. They should be on themes that do not loan themselves to methodical reviews, for example, assessment of the instruments principal to a clinical phenomenon. It is evident that from The author’s examination of the information assembled from the above life review interview is enormously significant to an in detail comprehension of the individual older person (Michael), of his character growth, and of the aging progression. In the writer’s work, the breakdown also gives data on social, psychosomatic, chronological, and edifying themes.
In general, I would state that the paper has flow and the content is well detailed. The paper is also very informative and I can tell more about Michael, a person I do not know, as if I have known him for ages. This essay is good and the author should be praised.
