Organizational change is an importance transition element that involves the active transitions of change management processes. The Becker Hospital Review considers positive change as essential in the rapid release of inpatient operations among critical care patients. Nonetheless, change occurs in a systematic manner as opposed to instantaneous existence upon random announcements. That is, when organizations experience change, they move from known to unknown methods of operations. For successful change management, therefore, it is vital to break change instances into distinct steps. The idea here targets the need for successful adoption through tailored approaches (MacDonald, 2011).
Health is a vital productivity determinant in the work environment. The Zika virus as a health issue would have a negative effect on the work environment. The virus has become a health menace in the workplace following its current occurrence in Florida. As a result, both local and federal government are working frantically to reduce the risk of occurrence. Some of the preventive measures include teaching on proper water and sanitation and the distribution of mosquito nets among others (Zimmerman, 2016).
The Stage theory works under the premise that organizations have the ability of passing through a variety of transitions during change. Upon recognition, the organizations use such stages to promote the existence of various change processes. There are, therefore, four steps of the stage theory, as follows. First, the organization looks into problem awareness and potential solutions. Second, the organization will make a decision to adopt an active innovation to act against Zika virus. The third step encompasses a type of implementation that redefines innovations and modifies the structures for accommodation. The last stage involves the institutionalization of the process as part of the organization’s dynamic processes (Weiner, 2009).
