Question1
Legal writing in schools of law is important as it prepares the students to be future lawyers. Assignments and exams are used to assess their capability. In legal writing, it is advisable for a student to follow certain steps for a thorough job. First from the assignment, identify the keywords and synonyms before searching to find why they are important. The next step is researching using the keywords and synonyms from different sources according to the assignment criteria required; it may be journal articles or books (Austin, 2014).
Cases are an essential part of legal writing. The research includes case citation and case name. It is also important to take note on the year of the case. Finally, the referencing style should be selected appropriately as specified.
Question 2
The Criminal Investigations Unit is one of the largest police departments. This unit is responsible for investigating and supporting the prosecution of both violent and white-collar crimes, which includes Election Code Violation fraud crimes and public corruption. Personally, I have interacted with a few police from this department and I applaud them for the good work they are doing. I have once come across the police from the traffic department. They are one of the most unfriendly people; they harassed me for over speeding along the highway and they wanted me to pay a fine that is more than the set one. The work of the police is to assist the people, who are in need, and not to harass and make them fear their interactions.
Question 3
The patrol police are assigned to the motorbikes and walking beats. The walking beats are essential since they enhance communication between the law-enforcement officers. When danger arises while in the line of duty, one can call for a quick back up via the walking beats. The motorcycle is also essential because it is fast and flexible to access any place without much concerns of the traffic jams. These two gadgets are very significant for the police officers to possess and should be made mandatory for increased efficiency.
