This memo describes our progress with regards to Soliciting Criminal Justice and Policing Reform Grant Proposal.
Background: The Peace and Justice Youth Foundation is contesting to be the grant winner to the Policing and reforming RFP by the Charles Koch Foundation. We are looking to be particularly helpful in coming up with better ways through which citizens can feel fairly protected through reforming the policing and justice system.
Progress to date: We have successfully managed to obtain all the original documents in the current justice system. The documents have been studied and analyzed carefully over the time period after submission of our proposal letter. This has assisted in evaluation of the current system for better understanding of its areas of weakness. This has allowed us to begin working on the formal proposal and we have since written the introduction, statement of problem, and objectives.
Work Scheduled: Half of the larger task is still ahead. This remaining pat is rather crucial as it defines the steps that will be taken in ensuring the search for a better justice system is valid. The Plan of action, the management pan and the conclusion will consume more time than the already completed section but we forecast that all will be completed in time.
Additional information: Despite obtaining majority of the documents that we need to complete the proposal, some documents have proven harder to access. We are still looking for sections of minutes that were written during the drafting of the current policing and justice system. This will help explain some of the logic used for the laws currently in place.
We look forward to submitting the proposal.
