Dear Mr. Richard Lively,
I am writing a grievance letter to inform you about the unfair situation, regarding the original grade reduction by my professor, which may affect my educational future. I would like to provide you some details in order to explain the matter fully. I have taken a midterm exam and got the original grade 57%, which was lower than my previous GPA. I failed to achieve the desired results and wanted to improve my original grade, that is why I asked the professor to provide some extra assignments for me or at least to advise me how I can improve it in the class.
As you can imagine, I was deeply offended by the behaviour of my professor. Furthermore, I will be forced to repeat my class or to attend summer school. Common sense seems to dictate that the situation is quite unfair, as I did my best during the term. I was quite disappointed when the professor announced the results because I was sure that I passed the test with flying colours. I was well prepared, moreover, I had written some extra essays in order to get the higher points. I had attended all the lectures, and I was always very responsive.
I will kindly appreciate if you let me know about the following incident. I hope that you will look through my case precisely and will allow me to prove my knowledge. I expect to hear from you as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Sebastian Wimbledon (signature)
