It is the possibility not only to work in the field of technology, but to possibly lead a team, join the colleagues’ competences for the benefit of a project, possess responsibilities in specific market research, communication and skill-building.
Moreover, the University’s website mentions the location of ITU in Silicon Valley as an advantage in means of living, studying and working in immediate proximity to the most advanced and most successful technological companies and startups. This is the chance to get to know as soon as possible about the newest achievements, discoveries and inventions in the corresponding fields, and possibly, to learn from the greatest examples – both in terms of research and development and of business management whatever the field of technological or engineering work.
It is true that one’s career should be chosen according to their abilities and potential, and their dreams and striving. For me, a career in Engineering Management looks like a symbiosis of my technological skills and abilities on one hand and the possibility to realize my ability to work as a part of a team and lead the team, to shoulder responsibility and perform executive duties on the other hand. I long for learning how to unite the two dreams in one life path.
