Genesis HealthCare services are one among the United States’ largest post-acute healthcare provider. Here are some of the internal elements that demonstrate the recent organizational portrait of this company.
2012-Welcome the Dr. Tami Secor as the newest member of the Genesis Physician Services group. This was in line with the entity’s objective to offer quality health care to patients. Dr. Secor will assist in managing of the short-and long-term medical needs of patients.
2013- During this year, twenty-two of Genesis HealthCare received awards for their commitment to quality care. The awards signify the organization’s adherence to high quality care to their patients, specifically, those who are suffering from disabilities and senior citizens. This demonstrates the intent of the company to be one among the best healthcare provider for post-acute cases.
2014- This year marked the acquisition of new facilities, such as the Powerback Rehabilitation center. The goal of this acquisition is to support the objectives for business expansion, and to remain as one among the best health care provider in the country.
2015- The acquisition of 24 Revera facilities was also planned in 2015. This acquisition is in line with the organization’s focus in increasing its facilities for better operations. It should be noted that Genesis is targeting an increase annual after-tax free cash flow (Genesis, 2017), thus the need to take measures to help facilitate a more efficient operation.
2016- In July 2016, Genesis pushed through the plan to amend its revolving credit facilities, and this paved the way for increased flexibility in its credit facilities. This is the financial aspect of Genesis operation which aims to ensure that it is operating cost-effectively, while being able to provide quality health care to those that depend in its services.
