Personal Statement
I graduated from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University located in Riyadh in 2011 with a GPA 3.17 out of 4.0. I am a psychology graduate with a knack for organizational development and leadership. I have a strong liking for travelling and exploring new cultures of the universe. All these have enabled me possess a far-reaching outlook coupled with varying degrees of information in a wide range of topics.
Organizational development and leadership have always been some of my favorite subjects. After completing my high school studies, I enrolled at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University where I chose to study Psychology. This choice was driven by my interests in human behavior. While pursuing my undergraduate course, I took several interesting classes, such as personality psychology, industrial psychology, organizational and administrational psychology, as well as developmental psychology. I really learned a lot from these classes. Some of the things I learned entailed the development of human behavior within organizations, how one can enhance the performance of workers, as well as how one can make organizations more efficient and competitive. I also learned how to be a successful leader. With also this knowledge, I found myself in the organizational development and leadership field. I have a strong conviction that my strong and unique background provides me with a lot of skills needed in the field of organizational development and leadership.
At the university, I got involved in several activities. For instance, I participated in the development committee. This provided me with an important experience and opportunity to sharpen my leadership skills. My long term goal is to become a successful organizational development leader, working for a broad variety of companies across the globe. My short term goal is to continue with my studies, expand my knowledge and to get experiences in the field of organizational development and leadership.
I am now immensely excited about graduate school. I have a refined passion for various aspects of organizational development, especially; theories of organizational development, performance appraisal, and change management. The reason why I am applying to join your university is because it has a good reputation and a flexible program which is suitable for me. This program will expand my knowledge and prepare me for a future career. I have a strong conviction that the Master of organizational development and leadership will create several opportunities for a successful career in my future. Lastly, I am confident that pursuing graduate study at your university would be a great step towards achieving my goals and objectives.
