Final Report
Every person walks in a situation with a certain perspective. We focus on different things of the environment. For instance, one person can focus on someone’s beauty or the status of a person (poor, rich). Ideas, people, activities are objects. If you witnessed a crime and you are short, you won’t be able to describe the face of criminal.
Acts/Social Acts
There are four phases of act. They are impulse, perception, manipulation and consummation. Our acts begin with an impulse, when our existing life of activity is disrupted, for instance, someone walks in the room when you are laying in bed. It is considered to be an impulse because a person was in his room and then all of a sudden the activity was disrupted. Perception phase comes shortly after the impulse phase. It is a phase where we begin naming or designating the objects and social objects to give our acts direction or purpose. For instance, someone knocks on the door while you are watching TV. Once the object is designated concrete steps are taken to reach a goal which is also an object. This phase is being called manipulation. For instance, when you have to get up and go open the door to a person who is knocking. It is necessary to state that manipulation involves little actions. For instance, getting up, thinking, talking. They are all part of the manipulation. Consummation is when the original line of activities is being restored. For instance, you go back to watch TV or lay in bed. It is very important to know all of the phases in order to have a better cultural understanding. For instance, you get an impulse: a wink and then you have to understand what this wink means and it may change the interaction.

Coordinating our Behavior
Our self is an object to our selves. It is a consistent object in any environment. We may use our first name towards self. For instance, we use it in our internal dialogue because self is an object of your experience. We figure out a person’s perspective when we know who people are and what they do. Statuses and roles are contained within the situation. People learn to coordinate the situations because we are aware of our own self and of what who we are. Also, we know the perspectives of the other person and what their roles mean.
Conclusion
All of the lectures help us understand better how people interact with each other. Also, it helped us to get to know what happens at what stage of interaction. It will help us to be more responsible and social objects.
