The three most important Pivotal Events are:
- United States Founded 1776
- Iraq War 2003 – 2011
- Obama Presidency 2009
United States Founded 1776
The year of 1776 is very important in the history of United States. Most importantly the date of 4th July 1776, as it is on this date that The American Declaration of independence was issued and USA found its independence. In this year the country marked the official beginning of its nationhood and declaration of independence. The world saw the birth of the super power and the country that would be prove to be the strongest economy on the face of the earth in future.
After the victory of Britain in 1763 in the French and Indian War the British has become powerful. The British were trying to levy undue taxes on the Americans and were forcing them to pay up. The Americans were not represented in the parliament to voice but when they raised voices the parliament shunned them saying as they were virtually present they has no right to raise their voices. To do away with the atrocities the declaration for independence filled which had a very open-minded approach towards the slaves and the Native Americans.
In 1776 the United States saw the end of British rule in their land and all the political connection between them and the state of Great Britain was totally dissolved. They were free to trade, make policies, indulge in trade and carry on all the activities that any independent country does. Thus with the foundation of United States the slaves and the residents became liberated and won the right to equality.
Iraq War 2003 – 2011
The Iraq war was the result of the mutual feelings between the government of United States and United Kingdom, they felt that Iraq possessed the weapons of mass destruction. The conflict was in two phases. The first was when the invasion started in Iraq by the US on 20th March 2003. The second was the long phase of fighting, in which a revolution broke to oppose both the US occupying forces and the newly formed government in Iraq.
The objective of the war was to end Saddam Hussein’s regime, isolate and eradicate the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, to drive away the terrorist from Iraq, help the needy Iraqis, find the global network that leads to the illicit weapons of mass destruction and save Iraq’s oil fields which belonged to them. Lastly, to help the Iraqis for a government that represents them.
As the presidency changed in the US and Obama took over from Bush, he ordered the withdrawal of troops from Iraq in 2011. The war resulted in the end of Saddam’s regime that had been causing terror in the world and torturing the people of Iraq since ages. Also, due to this war the support for terrorism was lowered considerably not only in Iraq but also in the other neighboring countries. These invasions in Iraq by the coalition of US, UK and other countries proves that war for which ever cause it may be will be hazardous for either of the countries. During the war Russian and China developed a strong alliance, an alliance which the experts feel is even capable of containing the supremacy if the super power US. US had spent approximately 6 trillion dollars for this war which is approximately about 40% of the years GDP of the US. Had the amount been spent on development the world would have been a better place to live in. However, today after the war Iraq’s economy is doing well and its GDP which had been trodden by sanctions is growing each year since 2006.
Obama Presidency 2009
Obama’s presidency began on 20th January 2009, making Barack Obama the 44th President of The United States of America. He is the first African born to be the President of America. Since the time he has taken over the presidency he has successfully managed to address the global financial crisis and many more crisis situations.

Soon after the recovery amount was infused in the economy there were considerable reduction in the unemployment claims and twelve months later private sector was able to produce more jobs. He ordered the end of invasion in Iraq and the last troops were withdrawn on 18th December 2011.
Obama’s presidency gave the world a better tomorrow by bringing down Osama Bin Laden a terror face who has be shocking the world for long. Special US forces invaded a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan killing the terror leader. He managed to end the dictatorship in Egypt by bringing down President Hosini Mubarak in February 2011.
He successfully managed to limit Iran’s nuclear missions. By signing the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability and Divestment Act (2010) he made sure that individuals or firms who help Iran in its nuclear mission are punished. Taking it further in between 2011 and 2012, he imposed sanctions on Iran’s banks along with the other super powers in the west.
