Toward the end of my long journey upon this earth, I wish to be recognized as a person who has achieved all the goals she has ever set in her life. I know pretty well what I need to pay in turn for accomplishing all my dreams, and I am willing to pay the price for realizing each and every dream of mine. I am determined to approach every situation in my life with a lot of enthusiasm and positive attitude. It is my firm belief that hard work never fails, and rightly I would be rewarded for my hard work with success. As a mother of three beautiful children with background as a professional caregiver for the past thirteen years, I am determined to ascend my career path by pursuing a BA in Medical Office Administration.
Care giving has been my passion since my childhood days. Having secured my High School Diploma and had nearly thirteen years of experience, I am qualified for admission to a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Medical Office Administration. My passion to serve patients with better healthcare facilities would always drive me to equip myself with the best knowledge and skills to serve my clients. I am also sure that a combined program in both business education and health would prepare me for various types of health administration assignments. Besides, only a few sectors across the world are growing as rapidly as the healthcare sector, and the expansion is not likely to stop in the near future. As the population around the world ages, the need for healthcare and allied services also increases proportionately (Guide for healthcare management majors). A proactive person to the core, I can visualize myself as a successful Medical Office Administrator responsibly planning, supervising and coordinating the quality delivery of service in the healthcare sector five years from now.
Toward improving my knowledge, self-confidence and chances of hiring by reputed organizations, I aspire to do my Bachelor’s program in Medical Office Administration. Also, I am planning to take simultaneously advanced placement classes in subjects like social science, nutrition or economics. With a view of becoming familiar with the industry of healthcare, I also plan to join some student’s associations where I get an opportunity to network, participate in debates and competitions, and develop my communication and interpersonal skills. I also would look for summer internship opportunities so as to start climbing the ladder of my career as a Medical Office Administrator while studying.
The opportunities for healthcare professionals these days are immense since the field is characterized with plenty of challenges and opportunities (Bowen). Healthcare professionals work in a number of settings ranging from hospitals, integrated delivery systems, and home-based health agencies to huge consulting firms. Because of the rapid growth, healthcare providers are repeatedly changing their methodology of caring, including how and where to give the service. As a Medical Office Administrator, I can see more opportunity for someone like me with a passion to contribute my best as a healthcare provider to the needy, particularly the aged and children.
Around 100,000 healthcare professionals are occupying various positions associated with health management at several organizational levels, from heading the departments to heading the organizations themselves (Bowen). The rapidly growing diversity in the field of healthcare warrants the necessity of many key officials to work in settings other than traditional hospitals. Even as thousands of new graduates enter the healthcare industry every year, the industry still demands more and more professionals to cater to the need of the public. I feel proud in joining this demanding and exciting industry shortly to fulfill my childhood aspirations of serving the sick and make them feel loved and cared.
