Hardware
• To have a complete function and properly designed maintenance system transaction devices will be required.
• The bookstore will require a sale transaction device to keep a track on the book quantity and sales. For that, the use of scanners and registers will be needed. For that, computers are required with fast CPU, mouse, and keyboard.
• The maintenance crew will keep a track on book quantities and record.
• Also, a printer will be required at the bookstore to mention notices on the notice board.
Estimated Capacities
• A manageable storage capacity will be required by the books tracking system. For that, 8TB capacity storage will be needed.
• The backup storage capacity is also necessary for possible data loss. For this, a web service will be required that will save the information and data on the cloud server.
Networking, the Internet, Communications Requirements
• Operating system and database requirements are important for bookstore management. Therefore, networking by using fact internet is necessary (Jin & Lin, 2012).
• The system will require a fiber cable service to manage the effective communication.
• Each customer will be provided an identification code to track the transaction details.
Data Backup and Recovery
• Data backup and recovery the use of web service is necessary.
• The system will save and divide the details of the transaction of books with customer identification code into different groups.
Security (Virus Protection, Firewall)
• To secure the system, virus protection and firewall from unauthorized malware attacks are needed for bookstore operating system.
• Continuous modification of the setting for virus protection can save the system from malware attacks, and it will keep the information safe and secure (Rahimi & Haug, 2010).
