(Opening scene) In the opening scene she moves into the neighborhood. Men are off-loading furniture from a truck and into the house. She looks and smiles as the neighborhood looks serene, it looks like a nice place to raise her two children she thinks. The following day Brandi, Kara and Alycia all come in on the second day. They bring an assortment of cookies, cupcakes and bread to welcome their new neighbor. They engage in small talk while each of them describes to her where they live, what they do and how many kids they have. The children are seen playing with the others outside the window and they are jovial.
The three friends leave after a while going back to their respective homes. She locks her door behind them thinking she has good neighbors. One day, she hears a knock Brandi asks if she could borrow a cup of sugar. After two days, Alycia comes over and borrows a cup of ice and gossips about Kara, she then leaves. After six days Kara calls in the middle of the night and asks for Tylenol for her child.
She opens her door with her nightgown on and hands Kara the medicine understanding what she is going through because she is also a mother. After a month, she checks in her cupboard and sees that most of her supplies are finished which lasts her almost two months. Just then her daughter Trista runs in crying. She reports that Kaylee Alycia’s oldest has called her a jerk. She gets angry and decides to call Alycia because it’s not the first time for this to happen. We go into the living room and we see they are having a cup of tea while they talk. She explains what has been going on in the couple of weeks regarding Kaylee’s behavior. She explains the name calling, the hitting and bulling. She continues to say she has had enough and has put boundaries between their homes and they can no longer be friends. Alycia is upset, but fakes it that she understands and leaves.
