The first people to receive the song was the US mainstream and their rhythmic radio stations. The lyrics of the song and the instrumentals were combined well by the artist. The song was played by jive records as one of the most hit single. The song was written and revised by Timberlake himself and Nate “danja” hills. It is such a great song since it was such as a rock rather than an rnb style mode of singing. The history of the song came up as a cover up of one of the movie actor, James brown in 1970as a sex machine. The flow of the song illustrates timberland backing the vocals while timberland’s voice was different. The sexy back song is simply a romantic song that has hidden meaning though the lyrics themselves show a description of a woman’s beauty and the man’s structure and shape (Timberlake, 2006p22).

Despite the critics against the song which showed that it was Timberlake’s best performance on the billboard hot 100, which remained at the top for about seven days. Timberlake stated that the song was a description that was a sort of a synthesizer which distorted their vocals. The themes of the songs are similar since they told about love and their rhythms differ, ‘the sexyback’ is the show of the use of tones and distorted the sound of Timberlake. The tone of the ‘the sexyback’ is a bit fast and it flows like a rock song. The style used differs as the style used implicates the flow of the song.
