Justice is not only for the privileged. It is for all. That is Public Counsel’s advocacy.
Public Counsel is the largest pro bono law firm in the country. We work with major corporations and law firms to change people’s futures.
We consist of sixty-one lawyers and fifty-two support staff, which include five social
workers and more than five thousand volunteer lawyers, legal professionals, and law students. We provide assistance to more than thirty thousand community organizations, families, youth, and children every year.
We aim to foster economic justice by providing institutions and individuals in
underserved communities with access to quality legal representation. We also aim to represent immigrants who have been victims of trafficking, domestic violence, persecution, and torture and to protect the legal rights of disadvantaged children.

In addition, we provide a wide array of transactional legal services to qualified nonprofit
organizations. We provide assistance to start-up nonprofits that share our mission by helping them to establish workable corporate structures and policies, obtain tax exemption, and incorporate.
We impact a wide array of people who live at or below poverty. We work on various
types of projects, whether big or small and whether they concern transactional or legal matters. We also provide consultations, model pleadings and forms, and training to volunteers. In this regard, we are able to provide free legal assistance those in need, whether they are companies or individuals, and we are also able to help volunteers hone their knowledge and skills, which will also contribute to both their personal and professional growth. We provide them with a training ground where they are not only mentored by experts but where they are also able to make a difference.
Moreover, we are able to help other startup non-profit organizations with regards to the
establishment of their organization. In turn, this has a multiplicative effect on our initiatives and advocacies.
In this regard, we implore you to join us in our advocacy of helping to bring justice to the disadvantaged. There are two ways by which you can contribute. We aim to raise $100,000 in funds in order to continue providing free legal services to the less fortunate members of our community. As such, any financial assistance you can extend would be greatly appreciated. Another way you can contribute is by volunteering your services. Whether you are a student, a social worker, a lawyer or another form of legal professional, we will be appreciative of the service you will render. In return, we guarantee that your donations will be put to good use and that we will regularly inform you of the progress we make in our various initiatives. To those who would like to volunteer, we assure you that you will be working in a professional setting and that you will be working with various experts in the field, which will help you further develop your skills and knowledge in your own chosen field.
