Preventing Systems Intrusions
The overall security assessment risk rating denotes the tools that are used by security experts, system administrators as well as internal auditors, to check on security updates that have been omitted. This could be as a result of misplaced configurations of different security codes in a given networked environment. System security has undoubtedly been improved by the use of ‘Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer’ (MSBA). The analyzer gives recommendations on security applications and offers an explicit remediation guide. The overall security assessment risk rating can be useful in identifying systems to which security configuration would be of greatest benefit. A high implies that more work requires to be done to secure the system while a low overall risk reported implies that the system is relatively secure. The risk factor reported should be weighed alongside the role of the computer to determine the level of priority in dealing with the security issues.
The working of the security assessment does not surprise me because the owner or the computer administrator would only be required to log in using the registered password or whichever security aspect that is being used. In this respect, if the green checkmark does not appear, various measures have to be taken by the administrator so as to re-establish the access privileges. The administrator must check the entire system and configure likely malfunction and re-establish them in an appropriate manner. In particular, the system scan provides information regarding all applications in the computer system in an attempt to identify applications that are missing and restore them as is appropriate.
