The type of security system I would choose will depend on the nature of the business that requires the program. If I were to choose a security system for a bank, I would select a proprietary security system. This is because the proprietary program allows the client company to control the protected components. The providers of proprietary security systems offer the whole component of security package under one service contract. The system components that proprietary providers offer include video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and system integration services. This type of security program is advantageous to companies as it provides a holistic solution. The initial cost of a proprietary security system is comparatively fair in comparison to other types of security systems such as hybrid and contract. The only flaw with the proprietary system is lack of warrant contracts and incompatibility with components from other manufacturers.

I would not select a contract security program because the rules and regulations of the security providers would conflict with those of the users. Customers need discretion over their security; hence they demand to control them without interference from providers. Likewise, I would not select the hybrid security program since it requires high initial investments. Hybrid security systems are only suitable for open places where security guards riding on buses can monitor areas from buses; those patrolling outside would be monitored from the United States Homeland Security department. I think proprietary security program provides the best security program since customers get the whole service system under one shop stop. Proprietary security system is also cost effective.

I agree with you that hybrid security program is the best; however, I have some reasons for opposing this choice. What if you wanted a security system for a banking hall and you do not have access to enough finances for installing hybrid security system? Under this circumstance, the clients will purchase the security systems that they can afford and provide security within the environment of the building. Proprietary security systems are affordable and allow the customers full control.
