Abstracts
China has enjoyed peaceful political transitions and influence in the greater Asian region. This has created an effective environment that promotes economic and social community growth. The rule of law in china is paramount and strict, this helps protect people needs and create a peaceful community. China has had a number of altercations with other independent states in the region and beyond. China still is contending a boundary dispute with Taiwan and Japan which results to estranged relationships and threats. China has also in the recent past had a nuclear altercation with the United Nations which resulted to economic sanctions. In the cold war china was in the middle of the propaganda and the altercation with America being a communist country (Dreyer, June Teufel 15).
China has been on the wrong side in the international community statistics on human rights. Due to its strict observance of the law and tough regulations they have had a negative impact on individual people rights of liberty. Protesting in china especially against the government is dangerous since the ruling party responds with brutal force to critics. Life expectancy in china is at 75 years old, this level is going to improve as Chinese scientists continue to make breakthroughs in health sciences. The literacy levels are on the increase in China as many people continue to embrace education as a means of eradicating poverty. Most literacy improved levels can be observed in the cities and urban centers whereas villages and rural areas have poor literacy levels (Cao, Jerry, Douglas Cumming, and Xiaoming Wang 329
