Problem-Solving Style Essay Samples

The test I have done resulted in the score which equals 43. It means that I have average tolerance for ambiguity of the tasks that I am supposed to do. In other words, I can quite easily deal with the challenges that are vague; however, in general, I prefer the tasks that are clearer and more familiar.
Having analyzed the questions and my answers to them, I can make a conclusion that in solving a problem I prefer using more familiar methods and act in the way that I am certain of. I do not like working with something that I do not know well. At the same time, I admit that there are problems that are really difficult to solve and that in such cases some new ideas and methods can be of help. Thus, I do not insist that every question should have a definite answer – either “yes” or “no”. Moreover, I can even agree that there are such problems which cannot be solved at all. I am also open to doubts. I believe that if people doubt, they try to find the best solution and, more often than not, they eventually do. These solutions can take several steps to success; but I am sure that by tackling small problems people may come to solving a great one.
The test I have undergone showed me that my problem-solving style is not a bad one. I do not tend to go to extremes. I am just in the happy medium. There is probably one thing that I would re-consider and that is the use of alternative methods. Traditional and well-known methods are good; but before applying them, I should probably stop and think what other more efficient methods could be tried. Perhaps, the use of newest methods can make it possible to find the best rather than just good solution.
